Rachel Chudley
Rachel is known for creative interiors with a distinct use of colour and texture. At odds with formalized style, her work instead reflects its environment and inhabitants; their quirks, passions, and humour.
Rachel believes that quality of life is improved with art. Her East London studio is made up of artists as well as designers, resulting in truly unique interiors.
After graduating from The Courtauld Institute of Art, Rachel attended The Interior Designers Institute, California.
Rachel worked both in the UK and the USA with leading interior design firms before founding Rachel Chudley Interior Design in 2015.
Art & Colour
Art and colour are central pillars to Rachel’s approach to interior design.
Having studied and formed a strong connection to art, on graduating from The Courtauld; Rachel worked alongside Cassie Beadle and Victoria Williams, curating exhibitions featuring some of the most prominent artists from the contemporary and modern art world at the Cob Gallery.
Later, during her time in the US, she met and worked with master colourist Donald Kaufman, her now father-in-law.
Among many other notable appointments, Kaufman’s paints adorned the infamous Studio 54 nightclub in Manhatton, New York in the 1970s at the height of its fame.
Having collaborated with and learnt from Don for over ten years, Rachel now develops bespoke paints for her clients in London with his input.

Collaborations
On rare occasions, Rachel collaborates with other creatives and companies to produce limited edition items.
